How to Navigate Freelancing and school together
Today’s newsletter topic is dear to my heart. I will be talking about juggling Freelancing with schooling.
When I was in school, I didn’t have the opportunity to freelance or have any information about it. However, things have changed considerably, and many students are now into Freelancing, blazing, and living the life of their dreams. The question is, how do you combine both together?
Here are some things that will help you navigate Freelancing and school together.
-Manage your time well
Learning the art of time management is essential when looking to manage Freelancing with your books. You should understand how to manage your time effectively so that it won’t affect your work or study. One hack to this is to prioritize.
Identify when you study and assimilate well and dedicate that period to school work.
Always work with a to-do list to make your schedule easy. When freelancing, always have the back of your mind that your education comes first every time.
-Be ready to sacrifice.
Juggling Freelancing and school together is not easy at all, and one has to sacrifice personal time at some point. There are periods you will find it hard to socialize because of work deadlines. Sometimes, you may have to use your me time to read books for exams and assessments. The World of a student freelancing is dynamic and open to flexibility. You should always be able to get things done on the go, even if it means letting go of your time.
-Learn the art of outsourcing
To be able to navigate Freelancing and education well, you will have to understand the rudiment of outsourcing. Outsourcing means giving out the jobs to someone else while you pay them. This arrangement gives you more time to relax and get other things done. However, you should be sure of the capability of the person you want to outsource to so they won’t do a shabby job for you.
-Join a community
Another good way to combine Freelancing and education is to join a community. As a student working as a freelancer, you may go through some challenges and need a shoulder to cry on. Community members offer you this opportunity. Also, communities are surefire ways to outsource your jobs or get more if you need a raise.
Summing up
It won’t be easy to navigate Freelancing, especially as a student, but when you manage your time well, sacrifice, and outsource to the right people, you will find a balance. Joining a community will help you a lot to find the right people with the right skill to outsource your jobs to while also being there for you when you hit a lull.
